Welcome to my blog, mostly on using Python and its many application areas, Linux, and some diversions now and then.

I run my own small company, Pytech Resources, located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, doing web development work and training courses in Python. Graduating as a Chemical Engineer in the early 1970s, I worked in several multinational companies in technical and management positions. But my real interest turned out be programming computers which I have been doing since the early days of the PC.

So, I have been programming computers for some 20 years, earlier on using languages such as Pascal, Fortran , C and PHP. But for the past 12 years I have mostly used Python and it's my favourite language.
